RP-Weekly, June 14th
Hi RP Family!
As the days are warming up, I want to take this occasion to highlight Baptism! Why might the weather make me think of Baptism? Well, because every year in July, for several decades now, Park Community Church has been gathering as one big family out at Lake Michigan to baptize new followers of Christ! It is a REALLY awesome picture of God working. We'll be talking about the event details over the next month, but let's be thinking and praying over Baptism as we approach the Summer Celebration service out on the beach, July 21st.
If God has been doing a new stirring work in your heart this season and you have come to know Jesus has Lord and Savior, then Baptism is for you! Or, maybe you are someone who has already been been following Christ for some time, but haven't yet been baptized, then also please prayerfully consider taking this important step of obedience.
Baptism is an outward display of the inward change that has taken place in a believer's heart. It is a symbol of the new life we now live as followers of Christ, turning away from ourselves and turning toward Him. And, this public proclamation of faith is a wonderful picture to the city, particularly during this season of much division and disunity across the world. God offers us the greater life and all the hope we need through his Son Jesus, and God graciously involves us in making his Good News known!
If God is nudging you toward baptism, please know that our next Baptism Class will take place after service June 23rd. (registration below)
Hey, also, tomorrow is Night Church! See details below. We will be out at Potawatomi Park worshiping, sharing some food, and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the city!
Warmly,
John, Associate Pastor RP

Upcoming
Serving at Park-RP
When you join a serving team, you're not just volunteering; you're becoming an integral part of our church family. It's where friendships begin, where commitment is strengthened, and where you will truly start to feel like you belong.
Giving at Park-RP
We believe that giving is an act of worship. It recognizes God as the owner and source of all we have. It is our cheerful response to God in praise of His radical generosity towards us.
Neighborhood Partners
Collaboration allows us to leverage our strengths, compensate for our weaknesses, and reach areas and demographics of our city that might otherwise remain untouched.
Ministry Calendar
Children's Ministry Update
Baptism preparations, as we approach our Summer celebration and Baptisms in July our kids and youth have been asking great questions and some have even expressed an interest to be Baptized. Praise God! I therefore put together a video and guide for parents to walk through with their kids (see here). Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if your kid wants to take the next step towards Baptism this summer!
Soccer camp registrations are now open, so sign up to join the team and/or register your kid(s) via our events page.

Note for Elementary kids parents: As we look to the summer schedule for our RP Kids ministry, we have prayerfully decided to give our Elementary kids the opportunity to remain in service once a month on the following dates:
6/16/2024
7/14/2024
8/11/2024
We hope and pray this will give our Elementary kids a great experience of being a part of our wider church family. It will also mean that our RP Kids ministry team will not be asked to serve twice a month throughout the summer as we have a reduced number of team members. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to discuss this further if helpful!
If you have recently joined our church or have a new child please register them here.
