Everyone serving together created an incredible platform for our church to love and engage the families of our neighborhood - and share of the love of Christ each week. New Deacon Candidates 2024
We have a fantastic Deacon Team here at Park-RP - Delly Hansen (Lead Deacon), Brock Maxwell (Lead Deacon), Kristen Hill, Laura Swanson, Dave Noell, Hannah Noell, Dave Koch, Lynn Marshall, Steve Hutchens, Jillian Esslinger, Kent Esslinger - who each pray for and serve our church so consistently, in often unseen roles, that are so key to the stability and health of our church.
Today, I'm excited to share that following a prayerful and thoughtful process of training and evaluation, we are pleased to announce that the following individuals meet the qualifications of deacon set in 1 Timothy 3:8-13 and are in the final phase prior to joining our team at Park-RP.

Deacons are established by God in the early church (Acts 6:1-6) and Park’s vision for the ministry is as follows: “The deacon ministry exists ’to do justice, love mercy, and walk humble with God’ Micah 6:8 by allowing servant leaders to bridge community support for the church’s emotional, spiritual, physical, and financial needs."
The final phase for each of these candidates is a 30-day evolution period for the church to have the opportunity to pray for and communicate any areas of concern, with respect to the biblical qualifications, regarding the deacon candidates at Park-RP. We ask that if anyone has a related concern, they should personally approach the candidate per Christ's instruction in Matthew 18:15-17. This period begins today, August 2nd, and will be complete on September 1st, 2024.
If after this 30-day period there are no unresolved issues with these candidates, they will be allowed to serve as deacons (1 Timothy 3:10) and will be commissioned as Deacons at Park-RP.

SESSION 2 (8/11): God's Gospel Plan (Romans 10:9-15)

SESSION 3 (8/18): How to share the Gospel (Colossians 4:2-6)
** 8/25 Northside Shalom service at Warren Park **
Note for Elementary kids parents: As we look to the summer schedule for our RP Kids ministry, we have prayerfully decided to give our Elementary kids the opportunity to remain in service once a month. The final date for this will be 8/11/2024. We hope and pray this will give our Elementary kids a great experience of being a part of our wider church family. It will also mean that our RP Kids ministry team will not be asked to serve twice a month throughout the summer as we have a reduced number of team members. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to discuss this further if helpful!
