RP - Weekly, August 23rd
Hey Church Family!!
This Summer we didn't want to miss the opportunity to be a church present and visible in our community through our rhythms of outreach - and as the season comes to a close, by God's grace, the stories of God's commitment to work through his people are surfacing.
We are seeing colleagues join our Sunday gatherings, children enter a church for the very first time in their lives, young people asking their parents to bring them to church, invitations shared at soccer camp to join our weekly rhythms of community accepted, and follow ups from 'Park in the Park' of those seeking to follow Christ coming through our website! Praise God RP!

As I was sharing with TJ this week, "I am seeing that anything we do that makes the church visible, and known, and public, bears the fruit of drawing people to connect."
If there is an individual or family that you have connected with this summer, we'd love to be praying for them with you! At our next RP Leaders Meeting I'd like us to take time to pray for individuals by name - please reach out to myself (padams@parkcommunitychurch.org), or Delly (dellyhansen@gmail.com) or Brock (brock.maxwell@gmail.com) if you have names you'd like us to cover in prayer.
BUT with the Summer coming to a close.. the Fall Ministry Season is KICKING OFF!! Take a minute to scan what's 'UPCOMING' below. A couple of highlights to get on your calendar; Trunk or Treat is coming back - could we get as much neighborhood engagement as Soccer Camp?! Also, for the first time we're going to have a 'RP Mens Fall Summit' (Oct 18th-19th), we're inviting all the men of our church to join us for one night in Lake Geneva for a time of brotherhood and calling one another up as men in pursuit of greater faithfulness to Christ! Registration opening soon!

Finally, remember this Sunday is 'NorthSide Shalom'! We will not be meeting at Sullivan High School, but will meet at Warren Park at 10:30am to celebrate our oneness in Christ with other churches on the NorthSide of Chicago! It will be a beautiful time together! Bring a picnic blanket or chairs - and bring a dish as we celebrate with lunch, and games together afterwards!

RP Kids August Plan and Curriculum:
Monthly Memory Verse: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
SESSION 1 (8/4): The Great Commission (Matthew 28: 16-20)
SESSION 2 (8/11): God's Gospel Plan (Romans 10:9-15)
Note No Elementary class
SESSION 3 (8/18): How to share the Gospel (Colossians 4:2-6)
** 8/25 Northside Shalom service at Warren Park **
Note for Elementary kids parents: As we look to the summer schedule for our RP Kids ministry, we have prayerfully decided to give our Elementary kids the opportunity to remain in service once a month. The final date for this will be 8/11/2024. We hope and pray this will give our Elementary kids a great experience of being a part of our wider church family. It will also mean that our RP Kids ministry team will not be asked to serve twice a month throughout the summer as we have a reduced number of team members. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to discuss this further if helpful!
