RP - Weekly, September 20th
Hi Park-RP!
As I shared last Sunday it is great gift to be a part of the Park family of churches in how we get to live out the oneness Christ prayed would be true of his followers, and in how we get to serve areas of our city in ways that we could not do alone!
This Weekend there are two opportunities to come alongside and be an encouragement to other churches in the Park family:
1. WALK DEVON - This Saturday is Sabka Sahaara's annual celebration and fundraiser where you all are invited. Join at 5pm for family games, music, and great food at Republic Bank (2720 W Devon Ave) in Chicago's Little India.
2. UPTOWN LAUNCH - This Sunday at 10:30am at the Institute of Cultural Affairs (4750 N Sheridan Rd) Park will launch its latest church plant in the great neighborhood of Uptown! Please consider worshiping with them this Sunday, especially if you have relationships with those on the core team, to encourage and celebrate with them as they seek to share the love of Christ amidst the 70,000 residents of Uptown!
At RP we'll continue in our series 'Courageous Convictions' where this Sunday we'll remind ourselves through looking at Christ's trial before Pilate in John 18 that even when we ourselves feel put on trail by political pressures, our primary allegiance is to Christ and his Kingdom, not our nationality or political party.
