RP - Weekly, September 27th
Hey Church Family,
This week as I've talked with a spectrum of individuals from across our church - from mature believers and leaders, to those who have recently committed to their lives to Christ, to those who are in a period of investigating Christ and his claims - I see how crucial a season we are in as a Church.
One of the signs of a church where there is Gospel movement is seeing various individuals at different stages of their Spiritual journey, from those listening in and seeking, to those who have made a recent decision to follow Christ, to maturing followers of Christ actively grasping deeper truths of their faith, to those with many years of having walked with Christ through the highs and lows ready to impart wisdom on what the journey of deeper discipleship entails.
Seeing this growing spectrum at RP has brought me to my knees in prayer, that I, and we as a Church, would not miss the great opportunity we have to experience a deep, and fresh, work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. And so, if the Holy Spirit is acutely at work in Rogers Park right now - are we aware? Are we seeking to be attuned and aligned?
Are we seeking to know what the Lord is doing in peoples lives, and seeking to come alongside the Holy Spirit with hospitality, and discipleship, and care? How incredible to see God at work, RP! It's my prayer that every single person at Park-Rogers Park will know what it means to be found undeniably in-sync - based upon our expenditure of time, energy, and resources - with the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those around us! He's at work, church! It's incredible!! This isn't the time to pull back, but lean in - every single one of us has a kingdom role to play!
What's your role this Fall? Who are you praying for? Who are you discipling? Who are you inviting into your home? Who is the beneficiary of your practical love and care?
See you Sunday RP! Jamie will be teaching from the book of 'Song of Solomon' on the subject of sexuality, and after-service we'll have a Members Meeting with a light lunch provided. Can't wait!
In Christ,
Phil

Upcoming
Serving at Park-RP
When you join a serving team, you're not just volunteering; you're becoming an integral part of our church family. It's where friendships begin, where commitment is strengthened, and where you will truly start to feel like you belong.
Giving at Park-RP
We believe that giving is an act of worship. It recognizes God as the owner and source of all we have. It is our cheerful response to God in praise of His radical generosity towards us.
Neighborhood Partners
Collaboration allows us to leverage our strengths, compensate for our weaknesses, and reach areas and demographics of our city that might otherwise remain untouched.
