RP - Weekly, October 4th
Hey RP,
I was reflecting last night that one of the greatest gifts of the local church is the opportunity it creates to regularly reflect together on the deepest and most profound questions of life. Often it's coming to the end of that which we have been hoping in that opens within us a greater willingness to pursue concrete answers that speak to our longing to be found as loved.
It is our hope that as a church we would acknowledge corporately the privilege it is to walk through life with others who care deeply about that which matters the most. Whether you are new to your faith, simply seeking and asking questions, or have been a follower of Jesus for many years, it is our prayer that our church would be a place were the claims of Christ would be considered with clarity and compassion, and given the due weight deserving of questions that often form during the darkest nights of the human soul.
At Park-RP, we believe that all of life, hope, meaning, purpose and suffering finds resolution in the person and work of Jesus Christ, and so consider it a joy to be witnesses and proclaimers of the the love and grace that we've experienced in following Him. We invite you to join us on this journey of faith!
This Sunday, we'll be back together teaching through 'The Gospel of Luke' looking at the story of Jesus' encounter with Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38-42). As we've already seen early in this series Jesus continues in his refusal to succumb to expectations. This week we'll see that Jesus does not conform to cultural expectations in his treatment of women, nor does Jesus commend those who are the busiest, as our examples of those we are to imitate.
If you haven't registered yet to host a trunk at our annual 'NEIGHBORHOOD TRUNK OR TREAT' on October 26th - REGISTER HERE! - Time to start inviting your neighbors!
See you Sunday for a family service! The nursery room will be open with a live stream and toys.
Yours,
Phil Adams

Upcoming
Serving at Park-RP
When you join a serving team, you're not just volunteering; you're becoming an integral part of our church family. It's where friendships begin, where commitment is strengthened, and where you will truly start to feel like you belong.
Giving at Park-RP
We believe that giving is an act of worship. It recognizes God as the owner and source of all we have. It is our cheerful response to God in praise of His radical generosity towards us.
Neighborhood Partners
Collaboration allows us to leverage our strengths, compensate for our weaknesses, and reach areas and demographics of our city that might otherwise remain untouched.
